For my package re-design I decided to do a pasta box. I chose this box because I think a box that sits vertical is much less appealing than one that sits horizontal. It also allows the pasta to sit much nicer in the window for easier viewing of product.
I used photoshop for my re-design because I really love the layering blend modes they allowed me to achieve that nice old world italian feel by combining a burlap texture with an old paper bag texture to give it that vignetted old feel. I also wanted to give more of a feel of where the product came from which is why I used the wheat berries instead of a picture including the end product. I think it gives it more of a organic feel.
